My grandmother became very ill about a month ago. The doctors told us what to expect so I started looking into our options. I remembered my grandfather whom passed in 1993 had his services at McCune and thought I'd check them out to explore my options first since it sounded like my family was pleased with my grandfather's funeral and arrangements. So I submitted an inquiry about 2 weeks before my grandmother passed and let them know the situation. I received a call within 30 minutes. The young lady who I spoke to was very compassionate and understanding about my situation and wishes. She said I'd have to contact them when it happened and could pay for services then. So a week before she passed I called and let them know the doctors gave her a week tops and I was ready to come in and put things down on paper. I scheduled and appointment for Sunday the 27th. My grandmother passed the 26th and I called to let them know and they were awesome. They allowed us the time we needed to say our goodbyes and picked her up in a timely matter. The gentlemen who picked her up was absolutely amazing. He was so gentle and allowed us to assist him with moving her body. He carried her away with so much respect and honor. I am so grateful for how this was handled. The way he secured her and covered her was so heartwarming. The next day I went in with my grandfather to speak to Janet. This woman is amazing. You hear all kinds of things about funeral homes on social media and I had my guard up expecting someone to try to take advantage of us during a vulnerable time in our lives. I swear this woman is absolutely awesome and such an asset to McCune. She didn't try to pressure us into things we couldn't afford. She was very personal and made it feel like we were talking to a friend about the arrangements. I can go on and on about how happy I am that we chose McCune. I would highly recommend their services and will continue to speak such great things about our experience. Thank you so much for everything.
